This Memorial Day weekend is certainly a change from last year’s. We’re seeing some parades come back this year, along with other great ways to celebrate because of the way our community came together. Below we’ve highlighted our favorite Memorial Day events and ideas for the holiday weekend:
Lawrence Township Memorial Day Parade
Yes! A parade is back in Mercer County. It will take place on Saturday, May 29, at 10 a.m - 11:30am. The parade starts at Lawrence High School, heads north on Princeton Pike to Darrah Lane, turns left on Birchwood Knoll and finishes on Berwyn Place near the entrance to Veterans Park.
"As we continue to balance COVID 19- as part of our daily reality, we are optimistic that this year's parade can safely take place following all CDC guidelines of social distancing and mask-wearing. We recognize that this may be a challenge for some groups and ask that you only register your group or organization if you can comply with the CDC guidelines. Vehicles are encouraged to allow for social distancing,” according to the Lawrence Township Patriotic Committee.
