East Windsor has large expanses of preserved farmland and acquired open space that contribute to the attractiveness of the Township and its country charm. Most famous of the Township's farms is the Lee Turkey Farm, which sells fresh fruits and vegetables and, of course, turkeys. Numerous Township parks, including the spectacular 160 acre Etra Lake Park, provides outstanding recreational facilities perfect for families. In addition, the Annual Latino Festival, held at the end of July, brings the community together with cultural food, dances, and games.

Commercial development in the Township is proceeding at a robust pace. The Township continues to attract high-tech corporations and has experienced a boom in retail development with many new restaurants and stores locating in the Township's Route 130 corridor.
