Focus on History throughout the Princeton-Mercer Region
Mercer County has a rich and colorful history that dates back to 1675, when the first settlers came over from England as Quaker missionaries. Many of the areas historical sites were preserved and restored as a tribute to early settlers. The Historical Society of Princeton and The Trenton Historical Society work to preserve the Princeton area's rich history for all to see. Many of the historical sites are open to the public for tours, a great way to spend your afternoon and to learn about our past.
