Cranbury Township
Founded in 1872, Cranbury Township has one of the most picturesque villages in the area; a registered historic district filled with antique shops and charming homes in well-kept eighteenth and nineteenth-century buildings. Just a few miles away, Aetna Insurance and Rhodia lend a 20th-century corporate presence. Lining Route 130 are office buildings, warehouses and research facilities. Many housing choices are available, including single-family, senior residences, developments and assisted-living complexes. Cranbury is located near the New Jersey Turnpike and offers bus service to New York City. Additional bus and rail service to New York, Philadelphia and Newark is available nearby. In addition to the public Cranbury Swim Club, the town offers year-round recreational activities and a summer day-camp for children.
