Now that the weather is hitting that perfect fall temperature, we’re letting you know that if you haven’t gotten your pumpkin yet, now’s the time. U-Pick farms are also carrying sunflowers, apples (limited) and more farm goodness. There are lots of wonderful farms in and around Mercer County, but here are our favorites for fall fun.

Terhune Orchards

330 Cold Soil Road, Princeton, NJ 08540

https://www.terhuneorchards.com

The local favorite for apples, pumpkins, farm animals, homemade donuts, cider, wine… I mean, the list just keeps going. They have activities and games set up for kids, along with hayrides and of course some pick-your-own. Their Apple Days Festival is every weekend in October! Registration required before entering, but tickets can be purchased right on their website.

Oasis Family Farm

3 Circle Drive, Robbinsville, NJ 08691

Pumpkin picking, cute farm animals, wagon rides (on weekends) and the Fun Zone for kids, which includes pedal trikes/cars, basketball hoops, slides, tire swing, dozer sand diggers, 70’ zip line and more!

Masks required on anyone over 2 years old, and social distancing rules must be followed on the farm.

Lee Turkey Farm

201 Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor, NJ

Pumpkin picking and corn mazes! Join the Pick Your Own Club ($2 for the entire family all year) to stop in not only during pumpkin season, but for all the fruits and vegetables coming into next spring and summer. Just note there is a $5 picking charge for adults that go towards your purchase. This supports the farm and helps keep the pick-your-own open to the public.

Stults Farm

146 Cranberry Neck Road, Cranbury, NJ 08512

Pick your pumpkin right from the vine! A true pumpkin patch that even allows dogs on their farm (on leash with a doggie bag). The farm has a deeply-rooted history in New Jersey and they only sell what they grow.

Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm

2691 Monmouth Road, Jobstown, NJ 08041

Close to Mercer County and a farm too great not to mention. This year they are offering a new Park N’ Pick option where customers can drive their cars out into the field to pick pumpkins. Afterwards just head to their “Check Out Shed” to pay for what you picked. Also enjoy a stroll through their family corn maze, sunflower fields.
