While Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start to summer (and summer parties), we’re also honoring our fallen heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country with patriotic celebrations. Below we’re listing events throughout Mercer that’s bringing attention to the true meaning of the holiday, along with a few others that are kicking off the season of FUN.

 

  

Events for Saturday, May 25th

Princeton

The Spirit of Princeton will host the Memorial Day parade starting at 10am. It will begin from the corner of Princeton Avenue and Nassau Street and continue to Princeton Monument Hall, the corner of Bayard Street and Stockton Avenue.

The Community Park Pool will open for the first time of the year from 11am - 8pm. It’s open weekends only until June 12th.

Trenton

The city is celebrating the 6th Annual Pork Roll Festival at Mill Hill Park while promoting Trenton’s history, art, music, small businesses and cultural diversity.

Lawrence Township

The Lawrence parade starts at 10am at Lawrence High School to Lawrence Veterans Park.

Events on Sunday, May 26

Pennington:

Run the Vineyards - A Taste of Tuscany is a fun 5K through town followed by wine, live music, awards, food and more!

  

Events for Monday, May 27th

Hamilton

 The Groveville Parade begins at 8:30 am and the Nottingham Parade begins at 10:30 am.

 Rat’s Memorial Day BBQ Cook Out at Grounds for Sculpture. 10 am - 5 pm with BBQ favorites and beer specials all day long.

Pennington

Memorial Day Parade starting at 11 am on Main Street.

Hightstown-East Windsor

Memorial Day Parade starts at 9 am on Stockton Street.
