  • The Princeton Festival is New Jersey’s premier performing arts festival, offering more than 10 different types of performances with professional artists of national renown and a dozen free lectures and special events. In June 2017, our month-long 13th season will be anchored by our productions of Man of La Mancha and Beethoven's opera Fidelio, featuring artists who have sung at major American and international opera houses, including The Metropolitan Opera. In the true spirit of a festival, our other offerings encompass a broad range of genres -- the Peter Martin Trio (jazz), Ballet X (contemporary ballet), Concordia Chamber Players, choral and Baroque concerts, a pops concert, a piano competition, a week-long conducting master class, plus free lectures, previews and film. There's something for everyone at The Princeton Festival! Performances are held in venues throughout the Princeton area, including McCarter Theatre, Princeton University's Matthews Acting Studio, the Princeton Theological Seminary's Miller Chapel, the Princeton Abbey, and The Lawrenceville School's Clark Music Center. A weekend attending Princeton Festival events will take you to areas of Princeton that visitors rarely get to see!
