  • The Princeton-Mercer Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau’s primary goal is establish itself as the premier destination marketing organization in the region. By highlighting the Princeton Region, the home to significant cultural, historic, educational, and artistic New Jersey destinations, the New Jersey Department of State, Division of Travel and Tourism will be targeting one of the State’s most attractive markets for travel and tourism. Improving the promotion of this region will inevitably enhance the promotion and quality of tourism opportunities throughout the state. As the number of visitors to the Princeton area increases, and as satisfaction levels of these visitors and word-of-mouth endorsements increase over time, we believe that both in-state and out-of-state visitors will be more likely to explore the “great destinations in every directions” that there are to see and do in New Jersey. As a program of the Princeton-Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Princeton-Mercer Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau already maintains a membership network of invested businesses that are committed to quality customer-oriented products and services. Within this existing membership base, the Princeton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau seeks to create and preserve strategic partnerships and alliances that leverage competitive impact in the local, regional and national marketplace. Specifically, the marketing initiatives will create immediate awareness of the Convention and Visitors Bureau and the services it offers; increase the level of interest in the Greater Princeton Region as a destination for leisure travel; and increase the level of interest in Greater Princeton Region as a destination for business meetings and conventions. The Princeton-Mercer Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau have demonstrated its value as a reliable partner for the New Jersey Department of State, Division of Travel and Tourism. Past projects, such as Holidays in Princeton and http://www.visitprinceton.org, have been successful. However, future objectives look to increase and enhance the already existing foundation of travel and tourism marketing that has been set forth in recent years. It is the pleasure of the Convention and Visitors Bureau to respond to all inquires about all aspects of this energetic and historic region.
