American Repertory Ballet

American Repertory Ballet (ARB) is a founding resident company of the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center, and the preeminent ballet company in New Jersey. Designated a “Major Arts Institution” by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, ARB has been awarded a Citation of Excellence by the Council, and frequently voted the Jersey Arts People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Dance Company.” ARB dancers hail from the US, Italy, Japan, France, Brazil, and more, sharing their unique training and influences to create a dynamic and visionary team of artists. The Company's world-class artistic leadership includes Ethan Stiefel, Artistic Director and Gillian Murphy, Artistic Associate. Together, they are shepherding ARB into a new era of artistic excellence, fusing strong classical technique with a fresh contemporary approach. Princeton Ballet School (PBS), the official school of American Repertory Ballet, has gained an international reputation for its excellent dance training since its founding in 1954 by Audrée Estey. Under the direction of Aydmara Cabrera, the school currently serves approximately 500 students, starting at age three, and includes a large open enrollment division for adults. PBS has studios in Cranbury, New Brunswick and Princeton and offers classes in ballet, modern dance, jazz, hip-hop,CardioBallet and character.
