  • Join historian and film producer Dr. Lawrence Hogan, Negro league’s last team Captain of the Kansas City Monarchs and All Star James Robinson, and poet Kevin Kane for a multifaceted presentation on the complex relationships in “Blackball” during America’s era of segregation. Included are clips from Dr. Hogan’s documentary Before You Can Say Jackie Robinson: Black Baseball in New Jersey and America and Kevin Kane’s rendition of his original poem “K.C. at the Bat,” a black version of the iconic “Casey at the Bat.” Ticket includes same-day museum admission. The museum will remain open until 6:00 p.m. This program is funded by the New Jersey Council for the Humanities.
