SLAVERY, IT HAPPENED HERE, TOO – STORIES FROM NEW JERSEY

The mission of the Sankofa Collaborative is to build the capacity of individuals, groups, and organizations to learn about, present, and discuss the complex and difficult issues in the history and current experiences of African American citizens of New Jersey. The focus this workshop is slavery in New Jersey – history and examples in this June workshop and resources for research and interpretation in an October workshop.
