East Windsor Township

East Windsor is the gateway to the Princeton Region from the New Jersey Turnpike via Exit 8 and the new Route 133 Bypass. The Township's accessible location makes it an attractive choice for new residents, as well as new businesses.

Commercial development in the Township is proceeding at a robust pace. The Township continues to attract high-tech corporations and has experienced a boom in retail development with many new restaurants and stores locating in the Township's Route 130 corridor. Large expanses of preserved farmland and acquired open space contribute to the attractiveness of the Township and its country charm. Most famous of the Township's farms is the Lee Turkey Farm, which sells fresh fruits and vegetables and, of course, turkeys. Numerous Township parks, including the spectacular 160 acre Etra Lake Park, provide outstanding recreational facilities. East Windsor offers an ideal environment for families, as well as businesses. The Township boasts a wide variety of housing, first rate recreational programs, excellent schools, and convenient shopping in the Route 130 retail corridor. The Township completed a state-of-the-art 11,000 square foot Senior Center which offers ample space designed to accommodate a wide variety of activities. The entire cost of construction was underwritten by government grants and private donations.
